Hello Friends,
Well Friday has snuck up on me, which is a little good and a little bad. I didn't get near as much card making done as I would have liked. Here is what I have acomplished....
-Worked 40 hours
-worked out every day (1.5 hours!)
-lost 4 pounds (9 lbs total in 3 weeks!)
-hubby and I had dinner with some awesome friends
-ordered a sit up bench off Overstock (should be here today!)
-made dinner (@ 9:30pm...) M, T, & W
-slept
-took care of the dog and cat (which were extremely well mannered this week)
I did get a couple cards done this week. One for Can You Digi It? a great store you should check out, and a birthday card for my MIL, which turned out very very nice.
Embossing, ink distressing, sewing, Slice die cuts, pretty stamps, powder embossing. She loved it a lot, and put it in her china cabinet. She has a things for daisy's, and I used her favorite colors, so it fit perfectly!
I hope you have a great weekend! I will be spending time at the parents farm with the horses and the dogs. Hope to be returning early Sunday to jump start my crafting for the week. Sunday seems to be the best day to get crafty things done. Hubby is gone watching the games, and usually is fulfilled enough by munchies and snacks, he don't need feeding when he gets home :P.
Later alligator!
Dana

About this Card:
I used the Text Cloud & Songbird which you snatch up for 15% off right now in the store! (Limited time offer). I used my Slice die cutter to cut out the shapes/dies. My big shot embossed the swirl background. I hand stamped and heat embossed the damask shapes onto the bookmark. The adorned the care with ribbon and brads to bring it all together.
3 Favorite Things:
- The Winston Churchill quote
- the shiny head embossed stamps on the bookmark
- the fun scallop stitching on the grey background.

New Thank you Hand Made Card | Ribbon | Heat Embossing | Hand stamped
Hello!
Thanks for stopping by today! Here is a card I made for my dear mum. She requested a thank you card for their neighbor, from whom they received some delicious homemade apple pie the other day! Whats better than sending them a couture handmade card in return huh?
I bought a HUGE new designer paper pack from My Minds Eye today. On sale for $8 at Michael's! I also just happened to find out that Michael's was selling Slice Design Cards, which retail for $39-$49 dollars, for $5.00!!!!! I bought 4!!!
Thanks for visiting my blog!

I used paper from Making Memories "Totally Girl" pack. Ribbon from Michaels (on sale of course!), and white trim from Reasonable Ribbon. Thanks so my Spellbinders die for the scallop! |

Close up of my pointy frame, using a design from my Vintage Finding's design card. Sentiment stamp from a Michaels sale bin...woo hoo! |

Finished product! I also heat embossed the sentiment with clear powder. Looks real nice up close. |

Engagement Card | Congratulations! | Pink & Blue | Sparkles
Hello!
What a week it has been! I'm trying not to use the phrase - "I've been busy.", but replace it with "I'm spending a lot of time on other things." You make time for the things you care about! This week I've been caring about work and the gym! I've done some light crafting in the evenings, but have mainly been spending extra time (not at work or the gym) hanging out with my hubby.
Tonight, however; Is Friday! And he works until 9pm, so that leaves me plenty of time!
I put together this wonderful little card for my cousin Larry and his new fiance Lindi!
I especially like the...
-hand sew sequins
-turquoise embossed sentiment
and
-the brown sparkle bow.
What do you like about it?
Thanks for stopping by!

Hello Gorgeous! | Hand made card | Layering and Sewing | Hand stamped
Hello!
A couple of nights ago, I made this pretty little birthday card for a Anything Goes Challenge.
I was mainly wanting to experiment with my impressions sheets and embossing folders my hubby got me for Christmas! My goal was to create a bit more 'dept' to the project. I use white paint to lightly highlight the raised features on the textures paper (which I happily created with my Big Shot, also a Christmas gift from the hubby). The ending result was great! And I can't wait to experiment even further!

Abounding Love Hand Made Card | Damask Paper | Sewing
I created this card for the Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge.
I was looking for a older/mature/vintage look, and I think I got pretty close. For someone who loves brights and pastels, this was a bit of a challenge for me. I'll be honest, my first thought was to use Magenta cardstock (in place of the hunter green). Yes...you can see how this was a challenge for me now...
Anyways, it turned out great and I'm happy to present it to you now.
The specific shapes (circle, scallop, and tag) were cut out with my lovely slice. The other shapes were hand cut. I applied faux pears to the scallop around the circle. I made a tiny little paper medallion following these instructions here. I'm quite happy with the way it turned out. Leave a comment if you are too!

Smile, You are Loved - Embossed and Sewn
I designed this card for the Friday Mash Up Sketch Challenge . Boy, was it fun!
I wanted a colorful and worn look, and something away from Christmas colors! (even though I love Christmas!) I used archival paper from the Damask Collection by My Mind's Eye (love that name...). The 'Smile' medallion, I embossed with my Big Shot. I used ribbon sent from Really Reasonable Ribbon Monthly Club (thanks MOM!).
First I taped it, then I sewed it all together (success!). I just love this card. I hope you enjoy it also!
