Hello Friends,
Well Friday has snuck up on me, which is a little good and a little bad. I didn't get near as much card making done as I would have liked. Here is what I have acomplished....
-Worked 40 hours
-worked out every day (1.5 hours!)
-lost 4 pounds (9 lbs total in 3 weeks!)
-hubby and I had dinner with some awesome friends
-ordered a sit up bench off Overstock (should be here today!)
-made dinner (@ 9:30pm...) M, T, & W
-slept
-took care of the dog and cat (which were extremely well mannered this week)
I did get a couple cards done this week. One for Can You Digi It? a great store you should check out, and a birthday card for my MIL, which turned out very very nice.
Embossing, ink distressing, sewing, Slice die cuts, pretty stamps, powder embossing. She loved it a lot, and put it in her china cabinet. She has a things for daisy's, and I used her favorite colors, so it fit perfectly!
I hope you have a great weekend! I will be spending time at the parents farm with the horses and the dogs. Hope to be returning early Sunday to jump start my crafting for the week. Sunday seems to be the best day to get crafty things done. Hubby is gone watching the games, and usually is fulfilled enough by munchies and snacks, he don't need feeding when he gets home :P.
Later alligator!
Dana

Vintage Television (or maybe not so old for some) Handmade Card | Just Tuning In!
Hello Crafty Friend!
So I had originally made this card for the Vintage Challenge by Incy Wincy Designs. But it was a particularly difficult card for me to construct, and I did not have it finished before the weekend (which I spent at the Family Farm, the Hall Farm. Well, I call it a family farm, but its really just all my parents except for my cat, and horse, which we do share :P But we are family, and we hang out there a lot, so its getting the name "Family Farm" for now.) However; despite missing the previous challenge deadline, Incy Wincy had another EXCELLENT challenge posted today calling for Bold & Bright, and since this card is mainly orange...I find it exceptionally bold, AND bright. Enjoy!
My favorites:
Incy Wincy - Bold & Bright
Crafty Cats - Use Something New (This is my first time using glitter glue/ stickies for a card. I'm usually horrific with the stuff, but this was quite a success.)
Crafty Ann's - Lets Think Hot!

My favorites:
- I like old things...this retro TV is great. I actually designed this card because I wanted to use the TV so bad.
- Spark-ally blue ribbon - was a pain to glue down (and its not quite straight) but awesome all the same.
- "Just Tuning In!" sentiment, which I invented myself!!! (*proudness*)

Red Bird Cage | Embossed Paper | Hand Made Card
Hello Again!
I made this card for the My Favorite Things - Wednesday Stamp Club.
I started out using damask paper from My Minds Eye as my background. Then, I use some random light blue scrap paper to scallop and embossed it using Spellbinders Classic Scallop Die, and Sizzix Frost Embossing Folders. Then I took a paper towel, and rubbed metallic red acrylic paint over the textured card stock.
I used my Slice die cutter to cut out the circle and circle scallop. And then used pieces from the Grandma's Attic collection for the birdcage and bird. I also used ribbon from the Really Reasonable Ribbon December Ribbon Club.
I hope you enjoy my card!
