Look like Friday just arrived! Along with a birthday card for my mother in law, Wendy.

Hello Friends,

Well Friday has snuck up on me, which is a little good and a little bad. I didn't get near as much card making done as I would have liked. Here is what I have acomplished....

-Worked 40 hours
-worked out every day (1.5 hours!)
-lost 4 pounds (9 lbs total in 3 weeks!)
-hubby and I had dinner with some awesome friends
-ordered a sit up bench off Overstock (should be here today!)
-made dinner (@ 9:30pm...) M, T, & W
-slept
-took care of the dog and cat (which were extremely well mannered this week)

I did get a couple cards done this week. One for Can You Digi It? a great store you should check out, and a birthday card for my MIL, which turned out very very nice.

Embossing, ink distressing, sewing, Slice die cuts, pretty stamps, powder embossing. She loved it a lot, and put it in her china cabinet. She has a things for daisy's, and I used her favorite colors, so it fit perfectly!

I hope you have a great weekend! I will be spending time at the parents farm with the horses and the dogs. Hope to be returning early Sunday to jump start my crafting for the week. Sunday seems to be the best day to get crafty things done. Hubby is gone watching the games, and usually is fulfilled enough by munchies and snacks, he don't need feeding when he gets home :P.

Later alligator!

Polka Dot Corset Handmade Card

Hello! Welcome friends.

Here is a fun little card I put together last night.

I used this lovely Corset stamp, found at the Can You Digi It? online store. They have a lot of GREAT digi's there, so make sure you check them out!

I colored this stamp with watercolor paints. My watercolor skills are 'slowly' improving. I try to watch a couple training videos in my spare time. I'm really not a natural painter, although I love it dearly!
Dies were cut with my Slice machine. Ribbon is from Really Reasonable Ribbon. Pretty simple card, cut and paste, nice a simple and easy on the eye!

I didn't get a pic of the inside, but it says "Happy Valentines Day to a fabulous friend!"

Challenges:

Little Darlings - Polka Dots
The Sweet Stop - Non-Traditional Valentines Day Card

Until next time!

New Thank you Hand Made Card | Ribbon | Heat Embossing | Hand stamped

Hello!

Thanks for stopping by today! Here is a card I made for my dear mum. She requested a thank you card for their neighbor, from whom they received some delicious homemade apple pie the other day! Whats better than sending them a couture handmade card in return huh?

I bought a HUGE new designer paper pack from My Minds Eye today. On sale for $8 at Michael's! I also just happened to find out that Michael's was selling Slice Design Cards, which retail for $39-$49 dollars, for $5.00!!!!! I bought 4!!!

I used paper from Making Memories "Totally Girl" pack. Ribbon from Michaels (on sale of course!), and white trim from Reasonable Ribbon. Thanks so my Spellbinders die for the scallop!

Close up of my pointy frame, using a design from my Vintage Finding's design card. Sentiment stamp from a Michaels sale bin...woo hoo!

Finished product! I also heat embossed the sentiment with clear powder. Looks real nice up close.
Thanks for visiting my blog!

Engagement Card | Congratulations! | Pink & Blue | Sparkles

Hello!

What a week it has been! I'm trying not to use the phrase - "I've been busy.", but replace it with "I'm spending a lot of time on other things." You make time for the things you care about! This week I've been caring about work and the gym! I've done some light crafting in the evenings, but have mainly been spending extra time (not at work or the gym) hanging out with my hubby.
Tonight, however; Is Friday! And he works until 9pm, so that leaves me plenty of time!
I put together this wonderful little card for my cousin Larry and his new fiance Lindi!

I especially like the...

-hand sew sequins
-turquoise embossed sentiment
and
-the brown sparkle bow.

What do you like about it?

Thanks for stopping by!

Hello Gorgeous! | Hand made card | Layering and Sewing | Hand stamped

Hello!

A couple of nights ago, I made this pretty little birthday card for a Anything Goes Challenge.

I was mainly wanting to experiment with my impressions sheets and embossing folders my hubby got me for Christmas! My goal was to create a bit more 'dept' to the project. I use white paint to lightly highlight the raised features on the textures paper (which I happily created with my Big Shot, also a Christmas gift from the hubby). The ending result was great! And I can't wait to experiment even further!

Thinking of You - Handmade Card - Embossing Folders and Sewing

This is the first card I have made with my Big Shot and die cuts/embossing folders.

I want to take a moment to thank my wonderfully supportive husband, who bought me a Sizzix Big Shot, and all the needed accessories to go with, for Christmas! He bravely tackled my complex craft list, and succeeded with FLYING colors!

I also got a sewing machine for Christmas from my Mom! and this was my first attempt of 'sewing' on a card. What a disaster, my bobbin tension was all wacked up, but luckely, it is fixed for future projects! I'm totally new at sewing. It was a total learning experience.

I made this card for the My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Club.

Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge - 'Believe' Handmade Card

I created this card for the Mojo Monday 216th Sketch Challenge.
Its relatively simple. I wanted to make the detail appear in the handmade flower embellishments (which are painted with blue and brown watercolor) 'Believe' is hand stamped and heath embossed. The whole of the card is also given the distressed look with watercolors.

Its a great day for card making! This is my second one today! :)

Happy Holiday!

Happy Holidays Hand Made Christmas Card - Heat Embossing - Hand Stamped

Thanksgiving week is just about over! That can be a good thing. With house sitting and holidays for the past two weeks, I'm about ready to just return to my apartment and work, craft, and relax.

This card features a lot of heat embossing and stamping. I rather like the blue and red combination, and this sorta a practice card for my Christmas cards this year. Its been fun to play around with the two colors. A very fun card to make!

DigiStamp Update: I'm still exploring the options out there for DigiStamp creation and marketing. I'm contemplating whether or not I want to spend my time designing and selling digistamps, or if I would rather pursue joining a design team. We shall see!!

Happy Holidays!
